There are daily flights to both Limoges and Poitiers from the UK and within France. Check the site of Ryanair, who operate from Stanstead and other departure points, as their schedules vary depending on the time of year. You can travel by rail from Paris to either Poitiers or Limoges. There is a regular train service between Poitiers and Limoges which stops at Le Dorat - there are around eight trains a day in each direction on this line. Timetable information is available on the French rail system site. Train journey time from Limoges Benédictins station to Le Dorat is about 45 minutes. From the main station in Poitiers, around an hour.

Le Dorat is about 370 km. from Paris (around 240 miles) and travel time on the excellent roads should be about 3 to 4 hours. Once again, the Drive alive site can provide detailed information on routes - if you are travelling directly from a ferry port to Le Dorat, you will need to avoid the centre of Paris.

We are situated on the Avenue de Verdun [D675], which is the road leading out of Le Dorat in the direction of Le Blanc and La Trimouille.

If arriving from Bellac or Limoges on the [D675], you will pass the railway station on your left. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the Boulevard des Pyrenées.

From Poitiers [D942], this will be via the third exit at the same roundabout.

Follow this road round to the right and take the second turning on your left, at the Hotel de la Promenade, into the Avenue de Verdun.

We are about 400 metres further on on the left, opposite France Rurale.
